Kaylie's experience of strength and hope

Going from homeless, broken and hopeless to 47 days later after choosing recovery is miraculous amounts of change. Today my life is full. I am now reliable, dependable and most importantly a present mother for my children. First and foremost learning to love myself along the way and experience the gifts and blessings of recovery. I now know as long as I stay clean and sober the opportunities are endless for me, and can be for you too.

Maintaining recovery requires stability, routine and discipline! Also remembering to have fun in recovery although forever making sure I stay vigilant and always put recovery first so that, everything I love does not have to come last.

How I work recovery is by remaining teachable regardless of how much I “think” I might know. Living in God’s will for me and working the 12 steps and living by spiritual principles - hope faith and courage. Treating others how I want to he treated and by living one day at a time !

The internal work never ends, everyday is a learning experience for a better tomorrow. Everything that happens to me is a lesson, reason or season. And each time I learn something new that benefits my recovery. It is important for me to always remember God never puts anything before me I cannot handle clean and sober. Knowing my high power will guide me on the right path!

Thank you for reading! I owe everything to recovery, without it I have nothing.
